I've spent 13 years writing software and leading the people who write it, most recently a team of 25 engineers at Charter.

Today I lead development at a commodity trading firm. I ship production features by directing AI coding agents, and I build the tooling that lets the rest of the team work the same way.

How I ship

Most of my code starts as a written plan. Agents do the typing. I do the judging.

  • Specify. I write the plan and the acceptance criteria.
  • Build. Claude Code and Codex write the code and tests, then open the PR.
  • Review. A second agent reviews the first one's work and argues with it.
  • Verify. I run the real app. CI runs Playwright and coverage gates.
  • Merge. I read the diff and merge it. My name is on it.

    • Built a P&L dashboard with contract-level drill-down that reconciles to the broker's own ledger.
    • Ingests daily settlements and options data from CME, ICE, and MGEX, plus broker activity files and FRED economic data.
    • Added an MCP server so Claude can read risk, margin, and P&L under the app's own user permissions.
